About Katrina Garnes

Katrina Garnes is an ambitious millennial who’s spent the past 8 years learning, educating, and executing successful digital marketing and communications strategies while serving her community. Garnes is currently the Director of Marketing and Communications at a graduate institution in Atlanta, Georgia. Originally from Ridgeland, South Carolina Garnes went on to attend Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina where she received her Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communications in 2013.

Upon graduating she began her career and started her small business Cold Storm Media Productions LLC. While in Florence she served on the Board of Directors of Family Promise of Florence a Non-Profit Organization that helps homeless and low-income families achieve lasting independence. She is also one of the founders of MINGLE of the Pee Dee (Minorities Involved in Networking, Growth, Leadership, and Empowerment). She would go own to recieve She Magazines, “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” Award in 2015.

Katrina moved to the Atlanta in 2016 to further her career. She has told her story of fight and perseverance and acts as a mentor to thousands of youth, young adults and established professionals in the South East! She looks forward to expanding and reaching the lives and minds of not only the youth but millennials across the world.
